Gordon.D.Kemper
Epic YA Fantasy Author and Poet.
Reimagining the world, one word at a time.
Welcome Fantasy Readers!
What makes a good fantasy book?
Writing is more than the magic systems inside a fantasy world. It’s more than the arcs of my characters’ journeys. Writing is my dream, and I chase it with every letter I write, hoping to catch it between the pages of my fantasy novels.
I’m Gordon, (known as Ink.Carnation on social media) a fantasy author and poet. I was drawn to the fantasy YA genre from the start. Most of my books meet their protagonist on the cusp of becoming an adult. Why is this so fascinating to me? In my view, it marks the beginning of every adult journey, shaping their future and beliefs.
If you pay attention, you will discover that personal growth is something I am passionate about, and it is reflected in every story I write. My main characters will change, but change can be slow and painful. Sometimes, it takes more than one book to learn a lesson or see their truth.
I would be overjoyed if you would take a look at my work and explore my website. There is a story here, waiting patiently to be read by you. All support is appreciated. Have fun reading and imagining a world you can get lost in.
Ohh, before I forget. Follow me on Substack for think pieces on writing and poetry. My newsletter is cool, too.
